2019. October 03. 16:00 -
ELTE Law Faculty Council Room (1053 Budapest, Egyetem tér 1-3. ground floor.)
The lecture considers the different ways in which problems for transnational contracts caused by differing contract laws can be solved, in particular looking at the various forms of harmonisation that have been attempted in the EU, the advantages and problems with the CISG and the possible role of soft law. It will also consider which substantive rules might be appropriate and whether there should be a choice of transnational systems.
The lecture will be held in English.
