The Faculty of Law at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is delighted to be hosting the international symposium on the current developments in the law of security interests: national laws and the Cape Town Convention mid-November 2017 in Budapest.

The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for the participants to come together and to share and discuss the different experiences, views and ideas concerning some of the recent international and national developments in the law of security interests. The participants, who are law professors, officers from international organizations, government officials, practicing attorneys and renowned experts of the field, will come from Hungary and several other countries creating a truly international atmosphere for the discussions. At the conference there will be several presentations on the different aspects of security interests, the Cape Town Convention, its protocols, in particular the Luxemburg Protocol and the upcoming MAC Protocol. Moreover, the event will provide a unique opportunity for discussions and exchanging ideas concerning other aspects of the field as well.

The conference is open to the public but prior registration is necessary. If you are interested in attending the conference, please register by 20 November 2017 by sending an email to Dr Istvan Erdos (erdosistvan@ajk.elte.hu).
We are also happy to hear about your ideas and suggestions. If you have any, or have any question concerning the conference, please feel free to contact Dr Istvan Erdos at erdos.istvan@ajk.elte.hu
