First issue of ELTE Law Journal published

The Faculty of Law, ELTE launched a new, English language law journal. The journal is a regional initiative both for Hungarian and foreign lawyers who are active in the field of legal scholarship, legislation or legal practice. The president of the Editorial Board is Professor Miklós Király, Dean and Head of Department, the Editor in Chief is Ádám Fuglinszky, habilitated associate professor. The Editorial Board consists of distinguished experts of the areas covered by the journal. The work of the Editorial Board is assisted by an Advisory Board consisting of well-known professors.

Launching the journal reflects the intention of the Faculty of Law, ELTE to strengthen its presence in the field of international scholarship. The first issue was published with the support of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and contains the following articles:

  • The Legal Relationship between the Parties and the Arbitral Institution
  • Judicial Dialogue or National Monologue? The International Law and Hungarian Courts
  • Unidroit Convention of 1995 and Unclaimed Cultural Property without Provenance
  • Harmonising Tort Law in the European Union: Advantages and Difficulties
  • Elements of Protecting the Reputation of Public Figures in European Legal Systems
