The Team of the Faculty of Law, ELTE Won the Jessup Budapest Friendly Moot Court Competition

The Faculty of Law, ELTE hosted the Jessup Budapest Friendly Moot Court that is a European pre-moot of the competition in Washington. The event took place in accordance with the official Washington rules of ILSA (International Law Students Association).

In total, 20+1 rounds were organised with the participation of 10 teams, from which 9 were foreign ones. The main organiser of the competition has been Dr. Gábor Kajtár, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Public International Law of our Faculty.

The Hungarian team qualified for the final of Saturday afternoon and won it with unanimous decision (three judges, from which two have been foreigners). The members of the team: Léda Barkai, Kristóf Dániel Pap, Dávid Surjányi, Balázs Szalbot, Mónika Trombitás. Kristóf Dániel Pap also won the best oralist title from the 40 participants.
