I apply the theoretical concepts and empirical tools of economics to private and public law so as to analyse their internal logic and the mechanisms of their social effects.

I study how institutions contribute to the successful functioning of the entrepreneurial economy and civic self-governance. 

I study how formal and informal institutions affect political decisions. I am especially interested in the self-governance of social groups, the logic of political conflicts and and the rule of law.
